Join Manawatu Striders today and you can enjoy the friendly culture and motivation the club has to offer all year around. 

All are welcome to join at Manawatu Striders. Our aim is to encourage and facilitate active participation in running and walking in the Manawatu.

Our club training times are as below. Come and join us for 2-3 sessions to see if it’s for you. Bring a friend if you like!

• Tuesday Night - Walkers at 6.15pm, Runners at 6.30pm. Hockey carpark, Manawaroa Street

• Sunday Morning Club Run and Walk, 8am. Typically a longer run or walk, with a range of paces and options to shorten the distance if you want or need. Starts from Manawatu Striders Club Rooms (in the carpark behind the Esplanade cafe).

Our membership year runs from 1 April to 31 March and as part of your membership with us you will also be affiliated with Athletics New Zealand. Click here to check out the benefits you can access with Athletics New Zealand. 

All Members can take part in all club runs/walks, join in the fun at club social nights, and receive half price entry to all of our own organised events.

The club has a range of different membership option to suit everyone. If you wish to compete for Regional and National Championships you will need a Competitive membership. If wanting to take part in our club training and use the club discount to our events, a Social membership will be for you. If you’re already a member of an Athletics NZ affiliated club, you can join under a ‘second club’ membership.
