EVENTS THAT SUIT EVERYONE
The Manawatu Striders have been running top quality events for 40 years and continue to provide great events to the Manawatu and the wider region. Every summer it attracts around 1000 participants to its Super Sevens Series which is now one of the most successful run series in New Zealand.
Join with us this Spring on Sunday 4October for a 5, 10 or 15km run or walk taking in trails beside the Manawatu River and the Mangaone Stream.
Summer Super Sevens
12 January to 23 February 2027
Now one of the most successful run series in New Zealand, the Super Sevens is a 7 km, 5km or 3 km run/walk around the river pathways of Palmerston North and include the Manawatu Bridle Track and Esplanade walkways. Held weekly for seven Tuesdays.
MANAWATU SCHOOLS ROAD RACE

A competitive road race for Years 5-8. Trophies available for individual winners as well as winning school teams. Entries now open - contact your school’s sports coordinator.
Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k and 5k
2027 Date to be confirmed by July 2026
The Manawatu Striders Marathon, Half Marathon, 10 km and 5 km is the club’s premium event for the year & will be the 44th Anniversary for the Half Marathon. The event is based at Massey University and takes in the stunning scenery along the Manawatu Bridle Track and across the Fitzherbert bridge.
