The event is based from our Manawatu Striders clubrooms at Manawaroa Park (near the croquet grounds and behind the Esplanade Cafe). It is a measured 3km course through and around the Esplanade.
There are four races: Year 5/6 Girls, Year 5/6 Boys, Year 7/8 Girls, Year 7/8 Boys.
The individual winner of each race is awarded a miniature trophy to keep and an overall school winner for each of the four races is awarded with an annual trophy.
This event is free of charge to schools and students.
Further information on teams, timings for the day, and entry forms have been emailed to all eligible schools in the Manawatu District. Entries will only be accepted via the school’s sports coordinator or designated teacher for this event.
