Kahuterawa Classic 2011

"A record turn out of 129 participants took part in the Kahuterawa Classic in the weekendWeather on Saturday morning was perfect for Stage one where 86 participants took part. Unfortunately the weather turned in the afternoon and we even got a small hailstorm.
Saturday afternoons field of 35 runners had considerable depth and was the strongest field of runners that we have had for this event yet.
Good turn out of walkers also.
Sunday's third stage was held in overcast and blustery conditions.Good turn out again.
The Back Track was unsafe so we brought participants back from the end of Kahuterawa Road up Greens road and back out towards Old Wwest Rroad and return to Dransfields woolshed.
The event concluded with the legendary lunch and prizegiving in Dransfields woolshed.
The two days went off without a hitch and I would like to thank everyone who helped make the event run as smoothly as it did.
Results will be posted onto our website in the next day or two."
