WE LOOK FORWARD TO HOSTING YOU AGAIN FOR OUR 8TH EVENT ON 21 NOVEMBER 2021
Course Details
All distances are point-to-point and finish at our clubrooms in the Esplanade. (See further down page for location of clubrooms).
The 21 km course starts at Ashhurst Domain and runs along the riverside track, through HiRock quarry, then a few kilometres of rustic rural roads from Te Matai Road to join the Manawatu Riverside Walkway and finish at our clubrooms.
The 12 km course commences at the entry to HiRock quarry on Te Matai Road, heads a few kilometres along rustic rural roads from Te Matai Road to join the Manawatu Riverside Walkway and finish at our clubrooms.
The 3 km course commences at the Drink Station on the Bridle Track near the end of Albert Street.
21 km and 12 km courses have FREE buses to the start lines at Ashhurst Domain and Te Matai Road respectively. There are no buses for the 3 km course.
Event Start TIMES
21 km Walkers & Run/Walkers (Expecting to take 2hr 45min+) starts at 08:30
21 km Runners - starts at 09:30
12 km Runners and Walkers - start at 09:30
3 km Runners and Walkers - start at 09:30 (enter on the day only).
8:30am - for walkers and run/walkers
9:30am - for runners
This year there will be a cut off time of 10.45am at the HiRock quarry entrance on Te Matai Road (this is so we can be clear of the property in good time).
At 9km into the course, it is 1 hr 15 min after the 9.30am start (an average pace of 8:20min/km). If you expect to take longer than this, we encourage you to start with the 8:30am wave.
Important: Runners expecting to take less than 2 1/2 hours, please start at 9:30am. We have the 12km event starting at Te Matai Road and we want to avoid 21km runners coming through the starting area and crowd before they've started.
We encourage half marathon runners expecting to take longer than 2 hours 45 min to start at 8.30am.
