NZ Long Distance Race Walking Champs

On the 30th of October, Manawatu Striders hosted the New Zealand Long Distance Race Walking Championship.We had a strong field with the best race walkers of New Zealand taking part. The race took place on the Centennial Drive between The Chalet and the Manawatu Golf Club entrance. It was a one km course and the participants walked distances between 3 and 50 km depending on what they had entered. The weather was kind to all who participated and everyone loved the course and surroundings. A number of people bettered their personal best. This was another successful event organised by the Manawatu Striders.
